About MicroPlastLess
An innovative educational initiative tackling microplastic pollution
What it is
The MicroPlastLess Project is an Erasmus+ cooperation partnership in school education that tackles the growing issue of microplastic pollution through innovative and engaging educational approaches. It combines research, teacher training, coursework development, and game-based learning to make environmental education more interactive, practical, and impactful.
Why it was created
The project was created because microplastics are increasingly present in water, soil, air, food, and everyday life, yet this topic is still not addressed enough in school education. Many teachers need more confidence, knowledge, and ready-to-use tools to bring this issue into the classroom in a meaningful way.
What problem it responds to
MicroPlastLess responds to the lack of awareness, teaching resources, and practical educational methods related to microplastic pollution. It also addresses the need to help young people not only understand the problem, but also build sustainable habits, critical thinking, and a stronger sense of environmental responsibility.
