Our research and educational activities focus on creating synergies between business, technology, and sustainable innovation while ensuring relevance to real-world challenges through close collaboration with industry and international partners.
As a partner in the MicroPlastLess Project, AU BTECH is responsible for WP3, The MicroPlastLess Coursework. In this role, AU BTECH contributes its expertise in curriculum design, interdisciplinary teaching, and educational innovation to support the development of teaching materials and learning activities focused on microplastics, sustainability, and environmental awareness. The university also brings extensive experience from international educational collaborations and project-based learning initiatives that connect academic knowledge with practical and societal challenges.

Eva Sørum
Poulsen
Associate Professor
Eva Sørum Poulsen is an Associate Professor at Aarhus University BTECH with expertise in digital business, web technologies, entrepreneurship, and project-based learning. She has extensive experience in curriculum development, international and interdisciplinary collaboration, and sustainability-focused innovation projects, having participated in and coordinated a wide range of European and global educational initiatives involving partners from academia, industry, and civil society. As Principal Investigator of the MicroPlastLess Project, she coordinates activities related to educational innovation, stakeholder engagement, and the development of learning resources that raise awareness of microplastics and environmental sustainability through interdisciplinary and practice-oriented approaches.

Mathilde
Fogh Friedrich
Research Assistant
Mathilde Friedrich is a Research Assistant at Aarhus University BTECH with interests in sustainability, interdisciplinary education, and innovation. Within the MicroPlastLess Project, she contributes to the development and coordination of educational materials and learning activities related to microplastics and environmental awareness. Her work supports the project’s aim of creating engaging and accessible coursework that connects sustainability challenges with real-world educational practice.
